According to the AP, out of Dallas, Texas, a

… high school girls basketball team on the winning end of a 100-0 game has a case of blowout remorse. Now officials from The Covenant School say they are trying to do the right thing by seeking a forfeit and apologizing for the margin of victory.

Clearly ahead, it was 59-0 at halftime, the winners beat rival Dallas Academy in what the losing coach Jeremy Civello described as an ongoing “layup drill,” running the ball with full-court presses and three point shots.

Now, it seems, everyone is a bit embarrassed about the tackiness fest that the game seems to have devolved into.

Does that mean I’m an officially deprogrammed PhD? Or does it mean my PhD might be revoked? I hope not. After all, what’s the point of writing if no one can read it, right?!

So I came to one of these calculators through grammarpiano, via koreanish. I was going to find out my “blog rating,” which is by the way:

Okay, saw that coming. That’s how I roll, whatever. But sadly, my obsession with self-assessment then led me to this calculator:

On the original page, a big header comes up:

“Congratulations, your dead body is worth $4825! Doesn’t that make you feel great?”

No.

Somehow, that actually doesn’t make me feel great at all.
