I was surprised to see Yahoo lead with this story just the other day. I actually thought it was a non-story...but then, there's a lot of that going on for what passes as "journalism" these days.

I wish them well, and I think it's beautiful he didn't think to stop---that he wanted to do it and he did it. I think that's the thing we all want to protect in ourselves, and in him and her as they marry---the part of us that doesn't think to stop because of who and what is out there. Self-censorship isn't just about changing what you'd write in a book.

Nothing at all! That's kinda the point of my posting about Johnson, if not much of this site in general.

If we want to wish them well, truly and genuinely, then they deserve our attention to the facts of their lives-- to our recognizing what they're facing and our being vocal in our support of them. So that they have a safe space for their happiness, and so that kids like them in the future might come into a different world. That is my good wish to them...

Hey! What is wrong with just wishing the kids a long and happy marriage and good wishes?
